Maryse,

Thank you!! I think that is probably my favorite of all the poems I have written.
I appreciate that you like it too!!

Did you notice the new category at the top of the page? (Willowdown's Marker Art)

Re: A Poet Interrogates a Star...

I remember that one! I loved it then and I love it now.

I know these collabs bring back some awesome memories for
you. You two were the King and Queen of Collab...

Sarah,

The Marker art is lovely... my favourite of course the cover of our book and yes I am swamped by memories. I am so grateful to you that his work, our work, is being housed here.

Sarah,

I read Obligato again and I keep getting a sense of unconditional love and devotion... a most moving write.

My thanks, Maryse,

There is love in those lines, for writing, for sharing, and for the planet
and its beings. It is a universal kind of love, but when pen is in hand, and muse
is dancing, and then when there is a connection made with the reader, it becomes
a spiritual thing for me.

I like that you picked up on that.

Maryse,

Just read "Quiet Day". It was easy to hear Willow's voice in those lines.
How vivid they are...I smiled when I read 'unpin the dragons from your hair'.
So very Willow!

And when I read
"I travel back to days when I was young
And relive all the events of that time,
When life was sweet with songs yet to be sung,
With seas yet to be sailed and hills to climb.
I linger in the time of love’s sweet bliss
When life was filled with promises and plans
And my eyes fill up as I reminisce" I heard your voice clearly.

The last stanza is beautiful too, and I could not tell which of you
wrote it. It is lovely and I echo those last few lines...

"On a quiet day
body and mind are quite content
with everything that comes their way
- oh that every day were such a quiet day!"

Another gem...thank you again and again for making these collabs available.

Maryse,

I just found your comment about the marker art. There are several hundred more pieces to go through. He was so talented. It is the collabs that mean so much though. They are true treasures. I am so glad they will be preserved publically in one unit for posterity (and for now).

After all the upheaval today, reading those collabs again is a balm. My thanks to you for sharing them.

Sarah,

That photo and the words about Fathers make me think about my own Dad and how very special he was.

This one packs a punch Sarah... A Series of Near Misses, but the tender finish shows forgiveness, tenacity and loyalty.

Maryse,

Thank you! That photo is my son's hand, and Mallory's foot.
I took it when she was about 3 hrs. old.

I'm glad it touched a cord with you.

Maryse,

Thanks! A Series of Near Misses was begun when I
was feeling blue. The putting it to paper changed
my perspective and thus the ending lightened up.

Maryse,

I could feel the mist on my face as I read Rainflowers.
It fits so well with the weather we're having here
and makes me even more appreciative of that lifegiving rain.

so very much enjoyed the peace and the wisdom of those lines.
